Severis is a man burdened with grief:

After losing his parents in his early twenties in a planned attack by the Monster Princess of Nocturne Empire, Abomina, and being forced not only to rise to the throne in their absence but immediately plan to protect his kingdom from her tyranny, the Alliance of Mothia Kingdom and aide of King Sincere couldn't have come at a better time back then.

So, years later when Severis' wife was found dead on her way back from Mothia, Severis prepared himself for the worse when evidence pointed to his ally-turned-enemy and he chose his people over his friend.

Now, he's at odds about Lachrymosa's return, and hesitantly wait to see what she'll do.
